This weekend I switched coasts to visit my boyfriend’s family and our best friends. The cooler temperatures in New York City meant I FINALLY got to wear this gorgeous, blush coat by Calvin Klein. It is soft, feminine and a quality coat for less than $200.
I love mixing edgy styles like a leather skirt with something girly like this white, lace top from WAYF. Romantic-style clothing is another big trend this fall (think ruffled blouses and collars) and WAYF is quickly becoming my new favorite designer. Most of their clothing is less than $100 and super cute!! My lace top also comes in a dress versionthat would look awesome with some OTK boots like these black ones from Chinese Laundry that are super comfy!
Another coat I have been dying to wear this season is this soft, teal coat from LOFT. I paired it with this fun plaid, blanket-scarf from Modcloth. Kate Middleton just wore something very similar three days ago! Check out her look here.
I absolutely love this moss green top & skirt from A.L.C. The cut is conservative so it is perfect for a family event but the shoulder cut-outs add some flare. This duo is extremely flattering and a great number to wear during the holidays – you will definitely see another appearance of it from me.
It was wonderful being on the East Coast to see the colorful leaves and fall foliage–I really miss that about Kansas City! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well, and remember, go out and exercise your right to vote tomorrow 🙂
