Chinatown Visit with a Retro Twist

Fashion, Travel

Retro Twist on a Chinatown Visit | Looks Under $100 | Fashion Finds

I’ve lived in Los Angeles over two years and this was my first time visiting Chinatown, which is shocking because Chinese food is my all-time favorite! I knew I wanted to wear red because it symbolizes happiness in the Chinese culture. Then I fell in love with these plaid pants and decided to add a retro twist.

I love this ribbed off-the-shoulder top from H&M. I think the sexiest part of a woman’s body is her clavicle so I tend to gravitate towards these kind of off-the-shoulder or one-shoulder tops. My shirt also comes in black and is less than $18!

Finding these high-waisted plaid leggings is likely the closest to love at first sight I will get! The fit is super flattering with just enough stretch to smooth everything out. The pants are perfect for the office  and make a great day to night ensemble. They are just $49! For reference, I am wearing an extra small (I’m 5’7″). Sizes are going quickly, so grab them while you can.

Retro Twist

One of my favorite purchases from last fall were my slouchy, white boots. The boots are appropriately named “Carrie” after our heroine Carrie Bradshaw. Every time I look at them I think, “hello lover!” I’ve looked everywhere for the exact boot for ya’ll and I finally found them for 47% off!!  The boots are very versatile and I wear them with dresses, skirts, jeans and leggings. They are perfect for styling a “white-hot” look this summer. Sunglasses were the perfect accessory to tie in this retro-chic look and you can snag mine for just $55.
