Cool for the Summer with Chambray + Gingham

Summer is just around the corner and my fellow blogger babe, Brooke, and myself want to highlight a few of our favorite trends for you guys. Whether your headed to a fun bbq for Memorial Day or saving up for Fourth of July we’re keeping you cool with two words: chambray and gingham.

Malibu Farms

Being fairly new to LA, Brooke introduced me to the amazing brunch at Malibu Farms. Holy acai bowls and watermelon juice – it was so good! If you are ever in Malibu, I highly suggest you try this place. Besides the amazingly fresh juice, it’s located on the pier with sweeping views of the Santa Monica and Malibu coast.

Stay Cool for the Summer

My chambray top from Clayton is only $92 is super cool for the summer.  I paired the top with these white, sailor-like shorts from Capulet. The shorts fit high-waisted and they stretch. I recommend staying true to size.

Hands-down my favorite part of this ensemble is my red, gingham sneakers from Superga. They are only $79 and come in blue too. If you are looking to kill it at a Fourth of July party this summer these shoes are the way to go.

Gingham Style

Brooke’s gingham romper from Honey Punch is currently sold out online. Though I want to highlight a few of my favorite gingham pieces right now. These gingham sandals by Sam Edelman are going to sell quickly. They are a steal at only $99 and the studded bow detail is perfect. I am also loving this off the shoulder gingham top by Parker. If you’re looking for a classic button down, this gingham top by Sanctuary is so cute at only $79. This ruffle, gingham skirt by Lovers + Friends is another one of my favorites. It also comes with a matching, off the shoulder top that I have tagged below!
